Zervakis: Iran's Capabilities Were Underestimated – Quality over Quantity in the Armed Forces

Former Chief of the National Guard, Demokritos Zervakis, stated that Iran's capabilities were underestimated by the West. He emphasized that Iran was a difficult military target and that the image formed did not reflect reality. Mr. Zervakis argued that there was no clear strategic goal in the conflict and that its nature has changed, with the stakes now being the survival of the Iranian regime. He expressed the view that Cyprus is a pillar of stability and security in the region, strengthened by the presence of Greek and other European forces. Finally, he stated that the National Guard is at its best level ever, but cannot be compared to Turkey in terms of power.
