Withdrawal of Complaint Should Not Mean Case Closure

It should be understood that the complaints regarding the case involving the Limassol MP cannot be withdrawn, even if the complaint is withdrawn. This is clear. Because the case file, which has been forwarded to the Attorney General, includes the complainant's testimonies, medical reports from Greece and Cyprus, and other evidence. The question is whether the Attorney General will withdraw the criminal investigation and halt the process of lifting the MP's immunity following recent developments. However, existing legislation explicitly states that both the Police and the Prosecution are obliged to continue examining the case.
