“Wingbeats of Dreams”: A Night of Word, Memory and Music in Limassol

The presentation of Eleftherios Ploutarchos' new collection of short stories, “Wingbeats of Dreams,” was held with great success and a moving atmosphere at the Limassol House of Letters and Arts. The book, published by Elias Epiphaniou Publications, is a significant addition to contemporary Cypriot literature. The event was dedicated to the memory of the author's sister, Andri Ploutarchou-Pafiti, giving it a particularly personal touch. The audience had the opportunity to get to know Ploutarchos' work, listen to excerpts from the stories, and participate in an evening dedicated to the power of words. The event was supported by many cultural organizations of Limassol, such as the Coordinating Council of Cultural Organizations of Limassol, the Union of Cypriot Writers and the Limassol Writers' Society “Vasilis Michaelidis”. Greetings were addressed by representatives of the organizations that supported the event, mentioning the importance of Ploutarchos' work for Cypriot literature. Philologist Maria Peratikou-Kokaraki analyzed the themes and style of the collection, while excerpts from the book were read by poets Adelaide Papageorgiou and Martha Kanari. The author, Eleftherios Ploutarchos, thanked the organizers, contributors and the audience for their presence and expressed his emotion for the dedication of the evening to the memory of his sister. The event ended in an atmosphere of emotion and creative exchange, highlighting the vibrancy of the literary scene in Limassol.
