Windstorm Causes Damage in Cyprus, Snowfall Attracts Visitors to Troodos

Strong winds caused damage in Cyprus, with fallen trees and branches, as well as damage to vehicles. The Municipality of Nicosia responded quickly to the incidents, assessing trees and making improvements for citizen safety. The Fire Service responded to 48 incidents, including 12 fires and 36 special services. Meanwhile, the first snowflakes in Troodos attracted day-trippers, with no problems reported. The temperature is expected to drop significantly on Monday, with a possibility of rain and thunderstorms.
