US Strike Targets 'Narco-Vessel' Linked to Terror Group in Eastern Pacific

The US armed forces conducted a strike against a vessel in the eastern Pacific Ocean, which authorities claim was operated by a designated foreign terrorist organization. Two men were killed during the operation and were identified as 'narco-terrorists'. SOUTHCOM announced the operation via X, following the direction of the Secretary of War Pete Hegseth. This action is part of a series of bombings targeting vessels allegedly involved in drug trafficking in the Caribbean Sea and the eastern Pacific Ocean, starting in September. At least 107 people have been killed in these attacks so far. However, Washington has not publicly presented evidence linking the targeted vessels to any illegal activities. This has raised questions about the legitimacy of the operations from experts and the UN. The operation comes amid a period of heightened tension and geopolitical developments, while the accuracy of the intelligence and the necessity of military intervention remain subjects of debate.
