Last night at 10:44 PM, residents of the Akrotiri area in Cyprus received a warning message about a threat from British bases, accompanied by the sounding of sirens. Government Spokesman Konstantinos Letymbiotis clarified that no threat has been identified, emphasizing that the activation of security measures was precautionary. The activation of protocols and the sounding of sirens were part of preventative security measures taken at British bases. It is noted that 45 flights to and from Larnaca Airport were cancelled due to the situation. The alert has since been lifted, with the Spokesman confirming the measures were precautionary.
