Turkey Seeks Germany's Help to Read Black Box of Crashed Plane

Turkey has requested Germany's assistance in reading the data from the black box of the plane that crashed near Ankara, resulting in the deaths of eight people, including the chief of the Libyan armed forces. The German Federal Bureau of Aircraft Accidents Investigation (BFU) confirmed it received the request and contacted Turkish authorities to assess the possibility of reading the data. If feasible, the data will be sent to Germany for analysis and then returned to Turkey. Turkish authorities attribute the crash to an electrical fault and had announced that the investigation would be conducted by a neutral country, likely Germany. Libya has also requested assistance from the United Kingdom for the investigation.
