Turkey: Energy Minister Denies Halt to Gas Flow from Iran

Turkey has categorically denied claims by Bloomberg that gas flow from Iran has been halted following Israeli attacks on the South Pars field. Energy and Natural Resources Minister Alp Arslan Bayraktar stated that there has been no interruption to supplies and that reserves are sufficient to meet needs. Bloomberg had reported that Iran had cut gas exports to Turkey, causing concern in the markets and a rise in prices. However, the Turkish government is seeking to reassure consumers, assuring them that the gas flow remains uninterrupted. Bayraktar emphasized that Turkey's gas reserves are 71% full, ensuring the country's energy security. This denial comes at a time of increased geopolitical tension in the region and concerns about energy supply security.
