Truck Overturned in Klerou: One Person Hospitalized, One Lane Closed

A truck overturned around 11:30 this morning near the Kalou Choriou bridge in Oreini (Klerou), resulting in one person being hospitalized and one lane of the road being closed, according to the Police. The accident occurred around 11:30 am. The 39-year-old driver of the truck was transported to Nicosia General Hospital as a precaution. Police have closed one lane of the road heading towards the main Palaichori road and urge drivers in the area to be careful and follow police signage. Traffic in the area is expected to be affected until the truck is removed and normal traffic flow is restored. The cause of the truck overturning is being investigated by the Police. Authorities are examining all possible causes, such as speeding, poor visibility, or mechanical failure.
