Published January 15, 2026, 11:31

Toyota GAZOO Racing unveiled the GR Yaris MORIZO RR at the Tokyo Motor Show, a limited-production model inspired by Toyota's experience in the 24 Hours of Nürburgring race. The car was developed directly in the demanding endurance race, with Akio Toyoda, also known as Morizo, driving and contributing to its development. The MORIZO RR version features significant suspension improvements based on Nürburgring data and an exclusive carbon fiber rear spoiler, increasing downforce and stability. It also boasts a new 4WD mode called “MORIZO,” which offers a perfectly symmetrical front-rear torque distribution (50:50) for improved grip and control. Visually, the GR Yaris MORIZO RR stands out with its exclusive Gravel Khaki color, Piano Black grille, Matte Bronze wheels, and carbon fiber hood. Inside, the suede-wrapped steering wheel, smaller dimensions, and paddles inspired by the GR Yaris Rally2 racing car offer better ergonomics and feel. Production will be limited to a total of 200 cars (100 for Europe and 100 for Japan), with a launch scheduled for spring 2026. The GR Yaris MORIZO RR represents a top-of-the-line version for driving and motorsport enthusiasts, combining everyday comfort with intense sporty characteristics.
