TOM Recalls Dangerous Vehicles - See if Yours is Affected

The Department of Road Transport (TOM) of Cyprus is proceeding with the recall of six batches of dangerous vehicles, which were reported through the European Union's rapid alert system (Safety Gate) during the 2nd week of 2026. The recall concerns Honda motorcycles and passenger vehicles from Alfa Romeo, Ford, and Bentley. According to TOM, the Honda motorcycles may cause fire and injuries, while the Alfa Romeo vehicles pose a risk of injury. The Ford Rangers, manufactured between 1998 and 2002, also pose a risk of injury, and the Bentley Bentayga Hybrids have unknown safety issues. TOM calls on manufacturers, representatives, importers, and sellers to inform and take the necessary measures to recall the vehicles. At the same time, it calls on consumers who own the specific vehicles or parts to contact the manufacturers or stop using the parts and return them to the point of sale. In case of refusal to respond by the economic operators, consumers are invited to submit a written complaint to the Consumer Protection Service. TOM provides more information through its website and by telephone.
