Thessaloniki: Thousands Participate in Rally Marking 3 Years Since Tempi Train Tragedy

Thousands of people gathered in Thessaloniki to commemorate the 57 victims of the Tempi train tragedy, three years after the disaster. Protesters demanded justice and accountability for the accident, characterizing it as “murder” rather than an accident. The march culminated at the Thessaloniki train station, where protesters laid flowers. The rally was attended by relatives of the victims, survivors, and representatives of unions and student associations. During the demonstration, 21 people were detained and 5 were arrested.
