Ten Arrests in Targeted Policing Operations

The Cyprus Police conducted extensive targeted operations throughout Cyprus, aiming to prevent criminal activities, ensure public order, and enhance citizens' sense of security. During the operations, ten individuals were arrested for various offenses, including theft, carrying a knife, possession of drugs, driving under the influence of alcohol, and illegal stay in Cyprus. During the checks, 500 vehicles were stopped and 713 people were checked, while 28 premises were inspected. 211 traffic violations were reported, and 16 cases are being investigated. 8 vehicles were impounded. Of the traffic violation reports, 76 concerned speeding. Also, 153 checks were carried out for driving under the influence of alcohol with two positive reports and two checks for driving under the influence of drugs with positive results. The Cyprus Police is committed to continuing targeted operations to protect citizens and ensure public order.
