Syria: US Forces Withdraw from Another Base, Taken Over by Syrian Army

The Syrian Army has taken control of the Al-Sadadi military base in northeastern Syria, following the withdrawal of US forces. This withdrawal follows a similar move from the Al-Tanf base, as part of an agreement to integrate the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) into Syria's central structures. The Syrian Ministry of Defense announced coordination with the US side to take over the base, which had been used by the US as part of the international coalition against ISIS. The Al-Sadadi base also housed a prison for ISIS members, before the advance of government forces into the area last month. This development marks a change in the military presence in Syria, with the strengthening of the Syrian army's role.
