Strong Winds Cause Damage Across Cyprus: Trees, Tents and Pergolas Fall

Strong winds have caused localized incidents across Cyprus, including fallen trees, damage to tents, and pergolas. In Nicosia, in the Strovolos area, 10 cases of tree falls/movements and 2 damages to tents and pergolas were recorded. In Famagusta, 1 tree fall was reported, while in Limassol and the Kellaki community, a total of 4 incidents were recorded, including tree falls, sheet metal movement, and sparks from EAC cables. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow warning for the strong winds, valid until 10:00 PM on Friday.
