Smart Meters Installation Schedule for March Announced by EAC

The Electricity Authority of Cyprus (EAC) has announced the continuation of the mass installation of smart meters in various areas of Cyprus throughout March. The areas to be covered include parts of Nicosia, Limassol, Larnaca, Famagusta, and Paphos. The installation will take place on both sides of specific streets and in designated areas within the cities. In Nicosia, the installation will take place in Agios Domettios, the Hippodrome area, and around Democracy Street. In Limassol, areas near the Municipal Palace and on specific streets in the city center will be affected. In Larnaca, the installation will take place on both sides of Archbishop Makarios III Avenue and in areas between Tassos Papadopoulos, Spyros Kyprianou, and Agioi Anargyroi streets. In Famagusta, the installation will be limited to Ayia Napa, the city center, and around Teukros Anthias and Kataspila streets. In Paphos, areas near Agios Pavlos and on specific streets will be affected. The EAC informs that replacing the meters will require a temporary interruption of the power supply for approximately 20 minutes. The EAC apologizes for any inconvenience that may be caused during the installation. The installation of smart meters is part of a broader program to upgrade the electricity network and provide better services to consumers. Smart meters enable remote reading of consumption, better network management, and the provision of more accurate billing.
