Signing of Important Trade Agreements in Egypt in Late March - 2028 gas from 'Kronos', 2033 from 'Glaucus'

Important trade agreements regarding the transport, liquefaction and distribution of Cypriot natural gas, from the 'Kronos' and 'Aphrodite' fields, to gas terminals in Egypt will be signed in Cairo in late March at the EGYPES 2026 exhibition. President Christodoulides and Energy Minister Damianou will attend the exhibition at the invitation of the President of Egypt. The first production from 'Kronos' is expected at the end of 2027, while the development plan for 'Aphrodite' has already been approved. 80% of the natural gas will be sold to the EU, contributing to independence from Russian gas.
