Significant Residential and Tourist Development in Oroklini, Livadia, and Pyla, Larnaca

Larnaca is experiencing significant residential and tourist development in the areas of Oroklini, Livadia, and Pyla. According to the President of the Larnaca Provincial Administration Organization (PAO), Angelos Chatzicharalambous, applications for permits have doubled compared to last year, leading to the strengthening of the Organization's teams in these areas. This development is expected to continue in the coming years, including infrastructure such as schools, universities, and medical centers. The applications cover a wide range of developments, including tourist facilities, housing, residential complexes, offices, and land divisions. There are also expectations for the development of small hospitals and medical centers, as well as the need to expand residential zones to address the increased demand and control property prices. Mr. Chatzicharalambous emphasized that the increase in demand for land leads to soaring prices, making it necessary to expand residential zones to ensure smooth development and accessibility. The change of zones is already under consideration by the local communities and is expected to be submitted to the Town Planning Council by 2026. Furthermore, the possibility of repairing old buildings and upgrading existing hotels was mentioned, indicating an overall revitalization of the area. This development is expected to create new opportunities and improve the quality of life for residents, while also enhancing the tourist image of Larnaca.
