Seven Arrests Made During Routine Police Checks

The Cyprus Police continue their organized patrols and checks across the island, aiming to prevent and suppress crime. During the checks, seven individuals were arrested for various offenses, including illegal possession of property, outstanding arrest warrants, illegal stay, leaving the scene of a traffic collision, and resisting arrest. 708 vehicles and 927 individuals were checked, while 10 out of 52 premises inspected were reported. Additionally, 163 drivers were reported for traffic violations, including 84 for speeding and 28 for driving under the influence of alcohol. Five vehicles were also impounded.
