Serious Car Accident on New Year's Day in Limassol: 7-Year-Old Hospitalized

A serious car accident occurred on New Year's Day in Limassol, when a 41-year-old driver lost control of his vehicle due to dizziness. The car collided with a parked car and then a wall. The driver sustained minor injuries and was hospitalized as a precaution, being discharged the following day. Two children, aged 13 and 7, were also in the vehicle. The 13-year-old suffered minor injuries, but the 7-year-old girl fractured her left wrist and suffered a mesenteric tear with internal bleeding, and is currently hospitalized in the ICU of Makarios Hospital, out of danger. Limassol Traffic Police are investigating whether the children were wearing seatbelts or if a child seat was used.
