Ένας 15χρονος μαθητής πυροβόλησε και σκότωσε δύο γυναίκες σε ιδιωτικό σχολείο της πολιτείας Μιτσοακάν, στο δυτικό Μεξικό, όπως ανακοίνωσαν οι αρχές. Ο δράστης συνελήφθη.
Το έγκλημα σημειώθηκε στο ιδιωτικό σχολείο Μακαρένκο, στην πόλη Λάσαρο Κάρδενας.
Όπως ανέφεραν οι τοπικές αρχές, οι δυο γυναίκες έφεραν πολλαπλά τραύματα από σφαίρες. Εντοπίστηκαν νεκρές και ο δράστης συνελήφθη.
Σύμφωνα με αξιωματούχο που μίλησε στο πρακτορείο ειδήσεων Reuters, νεκρές είναι «μια καθηγήτρια και ένα μέλος του διοικητικού προσωπικού» του σχολείου.
Η εισαγγελία της πολιτείας δεν διευκρίνισε τις θέσεις που είχαν οι δύο γυναίκες στο σχολείο.
Οι δείκτες εγκληματικότητας στην πολιτεία Μιτσοακάν είναι από τους υψηλότερους σε ολόκληρο το Μεξικό, καθώς στην περιοχή δρουν καρτέλ ναρκωτικών και άλλες συμμορίες που επιδίδονται σε απαγωγές με στόχο να αποσπάσουν λύτρα.
Οι ένοπλες επιθέσεις σε σχολεία δεν είναι συνηθισμένες στο Μεξικό, παρά τα υψηλά ποσοστά βίας που σχετίζεται με το οργανωμένο έγκλημα.
