Russia to Send Oil to Cuba for "Humanitarian" Reasons

The Russian government plans to send oil to Cuba as “humanitarian aid” in the near future, due to the country’s severe fuel shortage. Cuba is under pressure from the United States, which imposes sanctions and restricts access to fuel. Russian diplomats stated that Russia would send oil and petroleum products to Havana as humanitarian assistance. Cuba has slowed down most activities due to a lack of fuel and has announced measures such as reducing working days and imposing rationing for the purchase of oil. Cuba is in a difficult position after the termination of oil deliveries from Venezuela and threats from Donald Trump to impose additional tariffs. Airlines, including Russian ones, have suspended flights to Cuba due to difficulties in refueling.
