A 49-year-old Ukrainian man has been charged with the murder of a 64-year-old hotelier in Rhodes, which he attempted to conceal as a traffic accident. The disappearance of the victim, Konstantinos Tsianthis, was reported on May 3, 2025, and his body was found in a ravine on May 7, along with the motorcycle he was driving. Initially, police considered it a traffic accident, however, testimonies and information from citizens, including social media, indicated that something else had happened. The investigation revealed that the perpetrator had personal differences with the victim and had “staged” the crime scene to mislead the authorities. The police identified the perpetrator and the case file was submitted to the Rhodes Prosecutor's Office.
