Reduced Water Pressure Implemented in Larnaca Networks, Says EOA

The Larnaca Provincial Self-Governing Authority (EOA) announced the implementation of reduced pressure in water networks from Tuesday, February 24, as part of measures to rationalize water use and conserve water, due to the difficult water situation facing Cyprus. The EOA reminds of the mandatory installation of a water tank in all properties, with a capacity of at least 800 liters. The lowest water supply pressure in each area will not be less than two atmospheres. For apartment buildings where water supply problems are identified, owners must install pumping systems to avoid interruptions in the supply. Specifically, the EOA states that apartment buildings must have a central tank on the ground floor or basement, a pumping system in working order, and independent tanks on the roof for each apartment, with a capacity of at least 800 liters. The EOA calls on the public to actively contribute to water conservation, emphasizing that responsible behavior and the cooperation of all are crucial to avoid stricter measures or future cuts in water supply.
