Rangers 'Interested' in Penrice

According to a report in the 'Nisi' newspaper, Scottish defender James Penrice is on Rangers' list of transfer targets. However, so far there has been no contact, neither exploratory nor official, from the Scottish team to AEK. 'Daily Record' reports that Rangers were also monitoring Penrice last summer, before AEK acquired him from Hearts for 2.3 million euros with a three-year contract. The new Rangers coach, Danny Rol, has asked the technical director to continue monitoring Penrice, along with Tour Romens. Penrice initially faced difficulties adapting to Greece, but managed to earn his place in AEK, having made 24 appearances and one assist. His acquisition is considered a successful choice by Javier Ribalta and Marko Nikolic.
