Putin: 'What is happening in Greenland does not concern us at all'

Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that Russia has no interest in owning Greenland, leaving the matter to be settled between the United States and Denmark. Putin commented on Donald Trump's attempt to purchase Greenland, pointing out that Denmark has historically treated Greenland as a colony. He also referenced previous land sales from Russia and Denmark to the United States, such as the sale of Alaska in 1867 and the Virgin Islands in 1917. Putin estimated that the purchase of Greenland could cost around $1 billion, suggesting that the United States could afford the amount.
