President of Cyprus to Visit France and Belgium with Full Agenda

The President of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, will travel to France and Belgium for a series of important visits and events. In Paris, he will inaugurate two exhibitions highlighting Cyprus's cultural heritage and its ties with France and Europe, in collaboration with the Deputy Ministry of Culture, the Louvre Museum, and the National Library of France. The exhibitions, which will run until 2026, will feature archaeological evidence, historical artifacts, and digital applications. Subsequently, President Christodoulides will travel to Belgium to participate in an informal European Council focused on European competitiveness. Prior to the Council, he will participate in a meeting of European leaders convened by the German Chancellor and the Prime Ministers of Italy and Belgium, on the same topic. The informal European Council will begin with an exchange of views with the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, followed by interventions from former Italian Prime Ministers Mario Draghi and Enrico Letta, regarding strengthening European competitiveness and deepening the single market. The President will be accompanied by the Government Spokesperson, the Deputy Minister for European Affairs, Marilena Raouna, and government officials, while the Deputy Minister of Culture, Dr. Vasiliki Kassianidou, will accompany him in Paris. The return to Cyprus is expected on the evening of February 12th.
