President of Cyprus Discusses Greenland Issue with Danish PM

The President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, held extensive telephone conversations with the Prime Minister of Denmark, Mette Frederiksen, regarding the issue of Greenland and discussions between Denmark and the United States. The President expects that EU decisions will be made at the extraordinary European Council on Thursday. He emphasized that the Cypriot Presidency will fulfill its institutional role, despite the potentially difficult position created by Cyprus's strategic relationship with the US. Cyprus's position on the territorial integrity and sovereignty of states remains unchanged. The President reiterated that there is no financial burden for countries participating in the Peace Council for Gaza.
