President Announces Increased Social Spending and Collaboration with Organizations

The President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides, announced an increase in social spending for the years 2024, 2025, and 2026, by 6%, due to the economic growth of the country. This increase will be used to improve the daily lives of citizens. The President met with representatives from the Cypriot Confederation of Organizations of Persons with Disabilities (KYSOA), the Federation of Patient Associations of Cyprus (OSAK), and the Observatory of the Third Age, aiming for consultation and cooperation to better address the needs of citizens. The government is committed to following the organizations’ program and implementing solutions that meet the needs of the citizens. Meetings with the organizations will be held every 4 months to monitor and resolve issues.
