POLICE UNION FILES APPEAL AGAINST WORK HOUR CHANGES

The ISOTITA police union has filed an appeal to the Administrative Court against the Police Chief's decision to change police working hours and reduce overtime pay. ISOTITA aims to overturn the decision, which has been in effect since the beginning of the year. Simultaneously, the union is calling on police officers, their families, and friends to participate in a protest rally outside the Parliament on January 21st, before the issue is discussed in the Legal Committee. The union has scheduled meetings with parliamentary parties on January 19th and 20th to inform them about the "unilateral labor injustice" faced by police officers and the actual working conditions within the Police Force. ISOTITA protests the lack of consultation before the decision was made. The Police Chief's decision has sparked strong reactions from police officers, who believe it negatively impacts their work and quality of life. The union insists that the changes in working hours and overtime reduction do not take into account the needs and specificities of the police force. The appeal to the Administrative Court represents an escalation of the dispute between ISOTITA and the Police leadership.
