Police Monitoring Police - Deputy Minister Denies Involvement in Complaint

An unusual incident occurred during the police protest outside the Parliament. Police officers on duty were monitoring their colleagues who were protesting. The protest concerned the changes in the schedule imposed by the ELAS leadership. The Deputy President of DISY, Efthymios Diplaros, stated that he has no connection with the complaints filed against Ioanna Fotiou, also known as “Annie Alexui”. Mr. Diplaros described the information linking him to the complaints as false. Ioanna Fotiou faces multiple arrest warrants for offenses related to the processing of personal data, the publication of false news and harassment, which allegedly took place between January and October 2025 in Paphos.
