PASYDY-SAK Criticize Police Chief: 'Arbitrary Decisions Violate Institutions'

PASYDY and the Cyprus Police Association (SAK) have expressed strong dissatisfaction and outrage over the Police Chief's decision to proceed with changes to police working hours and the reduction of working days. They believe that these unilateral decisions violate workers' rights and institutions, as working hours are a fundamental right of employees. They recall that the current schedule is the product of an agreement in 2017 to align with the public service over a three-year period. They call on the Chief to reconsider his decision, warning that its implementation will undermine the climate of trust between the Police and trade unions.
