PASP Presents Evidence of Inequality in Football to Ombudsman

The Pan-Cypriot Football Players Association (PASP) submitted evidence to the Commissioner for Administration and Protection of Human Rights, Maria Stylianou – Lottidi, regarding the inequality in provisions between men's and women's football teams. PASP informed the Commissioner about violations of legislation, lack of control by the KOA, and documented inequalities in financial benefits, travel conditions, provisions and treatment of female athletes compared to male athletes. A file with supporting evidence, letters and comparative data was submitted. PASP emphasized that the goal is to enforce the law and restore equality, not confrontation. Ms. Stylianou – Lottidi committed to investigate and will meet with the KOA on the matter.
