Paralympic Committee on Feidias' Apology: 'A Sorry with Hints and Political Interpretations Loses Its Value'

Published January 28, 2026, 13:34

The Paralympic Committee expressed its dissatisfaction with Feidias Panagiotou's apology regarding his reference to 'pellous,' emphasizing that his apology loses its value due to hints, offsets, and political interpretations. The Committee accused Mr. Panagiotou of shifting responsibility by claiming there is a broader social neglect of people with disabilities. It also criticised his attempt to link its announcement to polls and timing, as well as his call to the public for 'ideas' of support, considering it not a institutional stance. The Committee stressed that respect, equality, and the rights of people with disabilities cannot be the result of 'brainstorming' or communication experiments and announced that it would take specific action towards the relevant European institutions.
