Oil: Jump of 3% as US Puts Pressure on Iran

Oil prices jumped by 3% due to the escalation of US pressure on Iran, with the imposition of new sanctions on ships and a warning of possible military intervention. Brent rose by 2.8% to $65.88 a barrel, while WTI rose by 2.9% to $61.07 a barrel, reaching its highest level in the last week. The US announced the dispatch of warships, including an aircraft carrier, to the Middle East in the coming days. Sanctions were imposed on nine ships and eight companies involved in the transport of Iranian oil. At the same time, the US is considering new tactics to put pressure on Cuba, including a complete blockade on oil imports. The rise in oil prices had begun earlier in the week due to threats to Greenland, but temporarily decreased after the removal of threats of tariffs against Europe.
