New Rape Allegations Against Thomas Partey

Published February 12, 2026, 12:33

Thomas Partey, a Villarreal footballer, is facing new allegations of sexual offenses. The Crown Prosecution Service has approved two additional charges of rape, related to incidents reported in 2020 involving a further woman. Partey had previously pleaded not guilty to five counts of rape and one count of sexual assault in September 2023. The footballer is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on March 13th regarding the new charges. While released on bail, he is subject to specific conditions, including notifying the police 24 hours in advance of any international travel and avoiding any contact with the complainants. Partey's legal troubles continue, with the case attracting significant attention from sports and legal media. His trial is scheduled for November 2nd. Villarreal has not officially commented on the new allegations, however, the case is expected to impact the footballer's career, regardless of the outcome of the trial.
