NEDISY Calls for Immediate Presidential Intervention in Youth Organization

NEDISY has expressed strong concerns regarding the dysfunction of the Cyprus Youth Organization (ONEK) and sent a letter to the President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides, requesting immediate intervention. In the letter, the President of NEDISY, Dimos Georgiades, describes the situation at ONEK as “unsustainable,” highlighting prolonged institutional dysfunction, procrastination, and internal conflicts that have led to the organization’s underperformance. This situation negatively impacts youth, causing disappointment and uncertainty. NEDISY states its willingness to contribute to solving the problems and restoring the smooth operation of ONEK, offering dialogue and cooperation with the state. This move was made before any further action, allowing time to find a solution.
