MCD, Composure and Sobriety

The article focuses on the need for composure and sobriety in the use of Social Media (MCD), as well as in dealing with the issues that arise in them. It is pointed out that MCDs are not only relevant to political figures or the media, but to all citizens who participate in public dialogues. The article denounces the tendency towards leveling practices, man-eating and defamation observed in MCDs, following the display of a video that caused political upheaval. It is emphasized that disagreement should not lead to aggressive behavior and that criticism should be exercised with respect. Furthermore, the article states that supporting or condemning an issue should not be based on anger and lack of arguments. Leveling and perpetuating a false reality do not contribute to democratic dialogue. Finally, the article calls on the state and society to manage the issues that arise in MCDs with composure, sobriety and thorough investigation, in order to protect democracy and dialogue.
