Manchester United: Carrick Takes Charge Until End of Season!

Michael Carrick has been appointed caretaker manager of Manchester United until the end of the season, with his first major test being the derby against Manchester City on Saturday. The agreement was reached after talks with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and the club's management. Carrick has previous experience as United's caretaker manager in 2021, with a record of two wins and one draw in three games. Carrick has worked at United as a member of the coaching staff under Jose Mourinho and Solskjaer, and previously coached Middlesbrough in the Championship, where he led the team from 21st to 4th place. Despite his success, Middlesbrough were eliminated in the semi-finals of the play-offs. As a player, Carrick played for Manchester United for 12 years, winning five English Premier League titles and one Champions League. He also played for West Ham and Tottenham. The United administration hopes that Carrick will be able to stabilize the team and lead it to better performances until the end of the season.
