Manchester United Announces Carrick as Interim Manager

Michael Carrick has been announced as the interim manager of Manchester United until the end of the season, filling the void created after the departure of Ruben Amorim. Carrick's selection came after interviews with Omar Berrada and Jason Wilcox, who led the search for a new coach. Carrick previously worked as United's interim manager for three games in 2021, and later took over at Middlesbrough, which he led to the Championship play-offs. However, he was sacked by Middlesbrough in October 2022. As a player, Carrick made 464 appearances for Manchester United and won the Premier League title five times.
