Low Dam Inflow in Larnaca and Famagusta After Rainfall

The inflow of water into the dams in the provinces of Larnaca and Famagusta remains low compared to the same period last year. Specifically, the Kalavasos, Lefkara, and Dipotamos dams show significantly lower fullness levels than the corresponding period of the previous year, while the Achna dam has not recorded any inflow of water since October 1st, 2025. In Paphos, the situation is stable with low fullness percentages, around 23%, despite recent rainfall. The Pomos dam overflowed due to heavy rainfall, as did the Argaka dam. The Water Development Department expects the continuation of water inflows, but a significant increase in reserves depends on the completion of the rainfall wave. Residents of the Argaka and Pomos areas express satisfaction with the overflow of the dams.
