Kyiv: Power Restored to 750,000 Households After Massive Russian Attack

Power has been restored to nearly 750,000 households in Kyiv after a massive Russian air attack that caused widespread power outages. The attack, carried out with missiles and drones, killed two people and left more than a million households in the capital and surrounding area without electricity. DTEK reported that the situation remains “more difficult” on the left bank of the Dnieper River, where emergency power outages continue. Russia has intensified its attacks on Ukraine's energy system in recent weeks as it continues its offensive on the battlefield amid US-led peace efforts to end the nearly four-year-old war.
