KOAG Aims for Two New Affordable Housing Projects by 2026

The Cyprus Land Development Organization (KOAG) is aiming to launch two new affordable housing projects by 2026, according to its President, Elena Kousiou. Ms. Kousiou emphasized the importance of government support for the implementation of the projects, describing KOAG as the “executive arm of the state’s housing policy.” Two projects are already underway in Limassol (138 apartments) and Nicosia (54 apartments) as part of the affordable housing plan, with a total government funding of €28 million. Additionally, two new projects are being prepared, one of which is expected to be implemented in Limassol. The Ianthi project in Larnaca was completed in 2025, and projects have started in other areas. KOAG also manages the “Renovate and Rent” scheme, which, however, did not have the expected impact, with the Organization considering ways to improve it.
