Jail Sentences Handed Down for Drug Offenses in Cyprus

Three individuals have been sentenced to prison terms by the Permanent Criminal Courts of Limassol and Larnaca for drug-related offenses. The 32-year-old received a nine-year sentence, the 26-year-old three and a half years, and the 31-year-old six years. The first case involved the seizure of a significant quantity of drugs, including cannabis and cocaine, at a residence in Limassol, while the second concerned the discovery of cannabis in the 31-year-old's luggage at Larnaca Airport. A total of five individuals were arrested in connection with the first case, with police continuing to search for two more suspects. The YKAN (Cyprus Drug Squad) investigated both cases. The sentences were handed down after the cases were heard in the respective criminal courts. Police continue their investigations to fully dismantle the drug ring.
