Israel Says It Struck ‘Hundreds of Military Targets’ in Iran

Israel announced that it struck “hundreds of Iranian military targets,” including missile launchers, as part of a joint operation with the United States against Iran. Simultaneously, Israel's anti-aircraft forces intercepted missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles launched from Iran. Due to the operation, Israel banned public gatherings, closed schools and workplaces, and moved patients from hospitals to underground facilities. The Minister of Defense declared the entire country in a state of emergency. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi contacted his counterparts from countries in the region, stating that Iran would use all its defensive and military capabilities to protect itself. He also called on them to prevent the US and Israel from using their territory for offensive operations. On its side, Kuwait reported “significant damage” to an airbase from an Iranian missile, while Bahrain evacuated a neighborhood in Manama after a missile attack.
