Israel Bans Access to Gaza for 37 Humanitarian Organizations

Published January 1, 2026, 12:18

Israel has confirmed that it will ban access to the Gaza Strip for 37 major international humanitarian organizations that have not submitted to the Israeli authorities the list of their employees, as required by the new regulation. This decision raises concerns about further delays in the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Palestinian population, which faces severe shortages of shelter, healthcare and food due to the war. Israel justifies the decision as necessary to prevent the infiltration of terrorists into humanitarian structures, while facing criticism from the international community. Among the organizations affected are Doctors Without Borders (MSF), the Norwegian Refugee Council, Care, World Vision and Oxfam.
