Iran to UN: 'Over 180 Children Dead – Attacks Even on Schools'

Iran's Permanent Representative to the UN, Amir Saeid Iravani, denounced a “deliberate, unprovoked, and unlawful” attack by the United States and Israel against his country, which is in its “seventh day.” He claims the attacks are indiscriminate, targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure, characterizing them as war crimes. According to Iravani, at least 1,332 civilians have lost their lives so far, including over 180 children, while schools, hospitals, and other non-military infrastructure have been damaged. He specifically mentioned an attack on a girls' school in Minab, where 175 students were killed. Furthermore, he accused the US of using high-powered bombs and attacking an Iranian frigate, while criticizing the Security Council for its silence. Finally, he characterized the US President's statement about leadership change in Iran as a violation of non-interference.
