Iran Confirms Death of Supreme Leader Khamenei - 40 Days of Mourning Declared

Tehran has confirmed the death of Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, and declared 40 days of mourning. Reports indicate that Khamenei was killed in a bombing during an attack on his compound in Tehran. His daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughter were also killed, as well as the head of the Revolutionary Guards, Mohammad Pakpour, and Ali Samkhani, a top advisor to Khamenei. The Revolutionary Guards have threatened the “wildest attack in history” against Israel and the United States, while Iran’s cabinet condemned the attack as a “great crime” that will not go unanswered.
