Internal Conflict Between State-Owned Enterprises

A dispute has erupted between the Electricity Authority of Cyprus (EAC) and Cyta regarding a bill being discussed in Parliament. The EAC accuses Cyta of encroaching on its territory, specifically in the field of renewable energy sources, and the EAC's trade unions have called a warning strike. Cyta, which falls under the Ministry of Finance, appears to have gained a competitive advantage, while the EAC, under the Ministry of Energy, is protesting. It is emphasized that members appointed by the President should serve the government's policy and not create conflicts between Ministries.
