Interior Ministry: Self-Protection Instructions in Case of Hostile Action

The Ministry of Interior has issued self-protection instructions for citizens in case of danger from hostile action, aiming for early action and proper preparation. The instructions concern information in an emergency, the activation of sirens and the actions to be taken when they sound, as well as locating shelters and preparing to move to a safe place. If there are no shelters in the area, guidance is given for alternative solutions and the necessary items to take with you. Civil Defense sirens are a means of immediate warning, while trained personnel are available to guide the public. The SafeCY application and the Ministry's telephone centers (22 403 451 or 22 403 452) provide information about the nearest shelters.
